Formula Rossa is at Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, a theme park named such because it is built with speed and thrills in mind and designed to evoke the eponymous supercar brand.
Formula Rossa should be reason enough to visit the Ferrari-themed amusement park in Yas Island, but you’ll miss out if you don’t try the VIP experience and the Ferrari driving adventure.
The VIP Experience
No one dreams of spending their day in a queue at a theme park, even if it is mostly indoor and air-conditioned like Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. At Ferrari World, there are two VIP experience package types.
The VIP Shared Experience
The VIP shared experience has the following inclusions:
- A five-hour guided tour by a resident host: You’ll get a curated park experience; your tour will take you through a carefully planned park itinerary. Along the way, you will learn little-known tidbits and trivia about the park’s rides and attractions.
- A quick pass: The quick pass rules all. You won’t have to line up for anything. Want to ride Formula Rossa? Skip to the head of the line, and do the same on other rides.
- An exclusive dining experience: Such a wonderful inclusion, this one. People in theme parks sometimes have to wait hours to get food and a table for lunch. With the VIP experience, you won’t have to park yourself near an occupied table to make sure you and your party can get seated next. Your VIP experience includes reserved restaurant seating.
- Personalized souvenirs: Take a piece of Ferrari magic home with you. The VIP experience includes a curated set of souvenirs you can display on the mantel to spark conversations, especially with future grandchildren, about that one time you were at Ferrari World.
- Valet parking: Drive up and leave your car with a valet like a true-blue celebrity.
The VIP Private Experience
Get the VIP private experience if you don’t want to share the VIP tour with strangers. This package amps up the exclusivity and is perfect for small family units because the package covers three persons. Just add a cover charge for every extra person.
The private experience package has all the inclusions of the shared experience package, plus the following:
- A roof walk: Properly garbed, you’ll walk on the red roof, where you can see the world’s largest Ferrari logo and enjoy panoramic views of Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
- A visit to the Ferrari World Esports Arena: The Ferrari Esports Arena has video-gaming stations equipped with racing simulators. The setup looks like every gamer’s dream, and you can experience racing on a Gran Turismo (GT) or a Formula 1™ simulator.
- An unlimited digital photo package: No need to stop to capture candid moments. Your package comes with unlimited photos of you enjoying your park experience.
- Behind-the-scenes: Lift the curtain to learn how the park operates and gain insider knowledge with a special behind-the-scenes tour.
- VIP lounge: This is the cherry on top that elevates your Ferrari World visit. This makes the VIP private experience extra special as you and your party will have a cool and quiet space in the park reserved for you for when you need to rest your feet or take a breather. The lounge comes with complimentary drinks and snacks.
- Meet and greet: You and your family can meet and interact with the park’s characters.
The Ferrari Driving or Passenger Experience
There are actual Ferrari cars at Ferrari World, and you can take one of them out for a spin. Wouldn’t that be a dream?
All you need to do is book a time slot and pay the corresponding fee at the Ferrari Store Driving Experience counter. After a full briefing session, you’ll strap into a Ferrari Portofino (which you can change to another model with an upgrade fee) and drive around Yas Island roads for approximately 20 minutes.
You can drive or ride shotgun. It’s your choice.
Experience Ferrari World a Little Differently
There are two signature experiences you must try at Ferrari World. The VIP experience package is first, and it offers a guided, curated and hassle-free theme park visit and perks. It’s particularly worth it when the park is extra crowded, which is typical when there are events at Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The Ferrari driving experience is next; put the pedal to the metal on a Ferrari Portofino as you drive around Yas Island.
