Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi is one of the world’s best theme parks. If you’re going to be in Abu Dhabi for any reason, make sure you look up amusement park deals for the dates you’ll be in the UAE capital to see if you can swing a visit to this world-class tourist attraction.
How do you get to Ferrari World, Yas Island? You have two primary options: go by car or by bus.
Drive to Ferrari World Yas Island
The fastest and the most convenient way is to drive to Ferrari World Yas Island. For this, you can rent a car or get a taxi.
From Zayed International Airport (aka Abu Dhabi International Airport), it takes less than fifteen minutes by car to reach the Ferrari-themed amusement park.
From downtown Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is approximately 30 minutes away by car. You have two options:
- Via Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street: This scenic route will take you along the coast, across inlets, and through a few islands. Find your way to Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street, also known as Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Highway or E12. Get on the Sheikh Khalifa Bridge to Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, and continue following E12 to Al Jubail Island, Fahid Island, and Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Once on Yas Island, exit from E12 and drive on Al Athari Street, Al Maha Street and Al Sibaq Street to get to Ferrari World Yas Island. Alternatively, you can exit E12 much earlier on Al Athari Street and take Yas Drive to Al Sibaq Street.
- Via Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street: This is the straightforward inland route. Find your way to Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street or E10 and drive east (in the direction of Dubai). Take exit 34 for E12 toward Yas Island, merge onto Shahama-Dubai Road, and exit toward Al Rimal Street. Turn right onto Al Maha Street then Al Khuyoul Street to get to Ferrari World Yas Island.
From Dubai, driving to the theme park takes around one and a half hours. It can be longer, of course, depending on road conditions and your exact point of origin in Dubai.
Start your journey by finding your way to Sheikh Zayed Road or E11, and then exit onto E10. Next, merge onto Shahama-Dubai Road. Drive toward Al Rimal Street, turning right onto Al Maha Street then Al Khuyoul Street to get to Ferrari World Yas Island.
Take the Free Shuttle Bus
You can also take the Yas Express bus.
If you’re coming from Dubai, take the free shuttle bus service to Yas Island. You’ll need to book your bus seats in advance using the Yas Island app. You also need to have Ferrari World (or any other Yas theme park) tickets. Pickup points include:
- Deira: Deira City Centre, Deira City Centre main entrance
- Al Barsha: Sheraton Mall of the Emirates Hotel, Sheraton Mall of Emirates, Mercure Barsha Heights
- Dubai The Palm: Raffles
- Al Marina: Millenium Places Marina
- Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR): Rixos JBR, Hilton Doubletree JBR
- Sheikh Zayed Road: Millenium Plaza Downtown Hotel, The H Dubai, Sheraton Grand Hotel Dubai, Towers Rotana
- Dubai Downtown: V Hotel Dubai
If you’re coming from Abu Dhabi City, you can also take the Yas Express bus to Ferrari World Yas Island. Pickup points include:
- Khalifa A and Al Raha: Vogo Abu Dhabi Golf and Spa Resort, Marriott Al Forsan Hotel, Al Raha Beach Hotel, Park Rotana
- City Downtown: Marriott Hotel Downtown, Grand Millennium Al Wahda
- Saadiyat Island: Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas, Saadiyat Rotana Resorts & Villas, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort
- Eastern Mangroves: Dusit Thani, Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel
- Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC): Aloft Abu Dhabi Hotel, Premier Inn Abu Dhabi Capital Centre,
- Corniche: Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana, St. Regis Corniche, Radisson Blu Corniche, Le Royal Meridien, Hawthorne Suites by Wyndham, Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort
- Tourist Club District: Kingsgate Hotel Abu Dhabi by Millennium, Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi, Park Rotana, Jannah Burj Al Sarab, Ramada Corniche, Rosewood Abu Dhabi, Le Meridien Abu Dhabi
If you’re staying on Yas Island, taking a bus to Ferrari World becomes even easier. Just ask your hotel where the nearest Yas Express pickup point is and wait there.
Caveat: Bus routes and schedules may change. It’s best to ask staff at your target pickup point about bus schedules.
Take Public Buses
You can take the intercity or city bus if you don’t have seats on the Yas Express or have yet to buy tickets to Ferrari World Yas Island.
If you’re coming from Dubai, take the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) bus. Your three bus and route options are:
- Bus E100: Al Ghubaiba Bus Station (Dubai) to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station (Abu Dhabi)
- Bus E101: Ibn Battuta Bus Station (Dubai) to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station (Abu Dhabi)
- Bus E102: Ibn Battuta Bus Station (Dubai) to Mussafah Community Bus Station (Abu Dhabi)
Once in (or if you’re coming from) Abu Dhabi, you may take the 102 bus route to Yas Island.
